How to Buy Tickets for Riyadh Metro

There are three convenient ways to purchase tickets or passes for the Riyadh Metro. The first option is through the Darb mobile application, available on both Android and iOS. The second option is to buy tickets from the ticketing machines or offices located at metro stations. Lastly, you can use your Debit/Credit card or Apple Pay for seamless payment.

1. Buy Ticket using Darb App

Buying metro tickets through the Darb app is incredibly simple. Download and install the app, available on both Android and iOS. Browse the ticket options, select the one that suits your needs, and click ‘Continue.’ Add your payment method, such as a Debit or Credit card, to complete the purchase. Once the transaction is successful, you’ll receive a QR-based ticket that can be used at any metro station.

2. Buy using Ticket Machine

The second method to purchase a metro ticket is through the ticket machines at metro stations. Start by selecting your preferred language—English or Arabic—on the machine. Next, choose ‘Buy a New Card’ and tap ‘Add a New Pass.’ Select your desired pass from the options displayed on the screen, such as a 3-day, 7-day, or 30-day pass. Then, select your payment method: E-cash, bank card, or cash. Note that the Darb card costs 10 Saudi Riyals. Once the transaction is successful, collect your metro card from the machine.
